Project Description: 1022 Hancock Street once the home of Central Middle School of Quincy, now houses 47 residential units. The school was originally built in 1894, the reactivation of the building allows the history to be preserved within each unit. This renovation utilizes the spacious layout of classes, corridors and exterior planning. Pairing open layouts with large windows, enhances the light and perception of scale in the unit, some units having double heigh ceilings. The existing exterior landscape allows for plentiful parking for residents. New appliances, open design and contemporary features transform these spaces from classroom to luxurious condominiums.
