Andrea Sarzana, has been with the firm for 17 years. Andrea Sarzana and Philip Hresko enjoy a long working relationship dating back to the 1980’s.  He has years of professional experience in the areas of construction, planning and design.

He was born and received his education in Italy.  He specializes in commercial, residential and institutional projects.  His experience is for entire projects and client relationships: from programming and generating design concepts, to schematic design, construction documents and construction administration. His projects have ranged from government-sponsored housing to large corporate facilities to architectural interiors.


The Architects

Philip Hresko, AIA/ASLA architect and landscape architect, founded the firm in 1983.  Philip has years of professional experience in the areas of planning and design and construction, particularly complex developments in most of Boston’s neighborhoods. He specializes in commercial, residential and institutional projects. Prior to forming his own firm for 4 years he worked for internationally acclaimed Landscape Architect, Dan Kiley in Charlotte, Vermont. In Boston he was a principal at the Boston Architect Team prior to starting his own firm. 

He has been an instructor at The Franklin Institute of Boston and guest instructor at MIT has served juries at MIT, Harvard, Wentworth Institute, and Boston Architectural College and was thesis advisor to students at the same institutions.  Philip served on the Governor’s Select Committee for the State House rehabilitation and was on the original design team for the Lowell National Heritage Park. In addition, he consulted to the International Masonry Institute and the Solidarity Trade Union on existing and new housing for Poland.

Our office which is housed in a 1700’s Bulfinch wharf building located on the edge of the Financial District and Waterfront gives us daily inspiration for our work.
